Do I need to do anything to prepare for my bodywork session?Yes. Drink plenty of water the day before, the day of and the day after to assist your body in the process of detoxing.
Where will my bodywork session take place? In a comfortable, private treatment room. You'll be welcomed to my massage suite by the soothing scent of pure, essential oils as soon as you enter the front door. Allow your senses to guide you to my space where you'll hear gentle music which will help lull you into a relaxed state. You'll lie down and begin your magical healing process on a comfortable, heated table.
Must I be completely undressed?
I'll leave the treatment room to give you the privacy you need to remove your clothing. It’s up to you if you choose to undress completely or to leave your underwear on before you slip under the top sheet and blanket of the massage table. In my practice, you'll always be covered. Take your time and don’t worry, I'll knock before coming in. THIS IS A SAFE SPACE.
What should I do during the bodywork session?
Prior to your bodywork, feel free to ask me any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the bodywork session, I ask only one thing of my clients.... that they relax and allow themselves to "go deep". Many people just close their eyes and relax to the point of falling asleep. If you have any questions regarding the session or about the particular technique you are receiving, feel free to ask. And by all means, let me know if my pressure is too heavy or if you'd like me to go deeper. Don't worry... if you snore, it's a compliment to the massage therapist.
How will I feel after the bodywork session?
Most clients feel very relaxed and, sometimes, a bit "loopy". You'll likely experience more flexibility and freedom from long-term aches and pains. You'll feel regenerated to a heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days and days.
